Cătălin Creţu – General Manager, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria Visa
With significant experience in banking and electronic payments, Catalin Cretu has a solid expertise in management and financial operations in several geographic areas. After studying at renowned universities in the US and Europe and working at HSBC Bank USA in New York, Catalin Cretu returned to Romania in 2004 to head the local office of Visa.
As General Manager of Visa for Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria, Catalin is directly involved in the development and implementation of business plans and market strategies for Visa in the four countries, the coordination of operational activities in the field of payment technologies and supervising communication and government relations.
Cătălin Creţu holds a PhD in International Relations at New York University, as well as a M.A. in International Affairs at the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
