He was part of the team that developed the Electronic Payments System in Romania and coordinated its subsequent developments (PAID07, SEPA, Instant Payments, AliasPay etc.)
Ionel was also Deputy PM of the CENT Project for the European Clearing Cooperative and was appointed Managing Director of this enterprise.
