4 out of 5 customers around the world are ready to use their fingerprint instead of a PIN code when paying with a card

With the wide use of smartphones, fingerprint authentication is becoming more present in consumer lives around the world. 81% of global consumers are ready to use their fingerprint instead of a PIN code when paying in-store, according to a survey commissioned by Idemia.

“As biometric usage spreads across the planet and consumers continue to warm to the idea of streamlined, hassle free — yet totally secure — authentication, use cases will proliferate,” says the survey.
