Born 1959 in Vienna, Habilitation in Business Administration and MIS, Professor in Augsburg, Essen and Münster, Visiting Professor of Tsukuba and Kobe University, Japan.

Since 1993 Professor at WU- Vienna University of Economics and Business, Coordinator of FWF Special Research Area 10 Adaptive Models in Economics and Management Science, Lead of WWT Project Integrated Demand and Supply Chain Management, received the Science Award of the City of Vienna and the Best Paper Award of Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft

2008-2015 Head of Department of Information Systems and Operations, 2018 Founder of WU Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics, 2019 Founder and Scientific Lead of Austrian Blockchain Center
