Emilian Burcea – Technical Director at Wenmoon Studios

Since a young age, I have been very passionate and curious about 3d art, science, and problem solving. These passions lead me down a diverse and exciting path in AAA game development, VFX, and VR. As I worked through various roles with multiple teams, I eventually transitioned into a technical artist role, with a focus on characters.

I challenged myself by asking, “Is there a better or more efficient way to do this?”.
Which lead me to my current task; developing an advanced facial rig system for Maya that I call “Black Magic”.

In addition to this, I have developed pipelines and written tools for Maya, 3dsMax, zBrush and Unity, using languages such as C++, C# and Python, and I have extensive experience working with Unreal Engine.
