Larisa Tugui is a Senior Policy Expert at the European Banking Authority (EBA), within the EBA’s Conduct, Payments and Consumers Unit.

Since joining the EBA three years ago, Larisa has been extensively involved in the development of the mandates conferred on the EBA under the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and responsible for advancing the EBA’s supervisory convergence work in the area of payment services, working closely with the national competent authorities across the EU/EEA.

She is also actively involved in monitoring the application of the EBA’s regulatory standards and guidelines, the EBA’s Q&A process as well as the EBA’s work on APIs under PSD2.

Prior to joining the EBA, Larisa worked as a lawyer in the private sector for eight and a half years and specialised in financial services regulatory issues.
